A human being is a wild and complex thing. To think that one human being can be intimately understood by another equally wild and complex human being is ludicrous. Somehow, sometimes it happens. Somehow it happened to me and I consider myself very, very fortunate.

Every person is an uncharted wilderness that often they themselves are struggling to navigate. To find someone who is not only excited to explore that territory with you, but who also appreciates and understands to some degree how to navigate its complexities, is an immeasurable and sacred gift.
